About Us
SureLet Managing Director, Colin Poole, launched his franchise in 2003. It was an unconventional lettings model because there is a clear separation between the sales and property management teams.
It is a common problem that offices are unable to grown their portfolio of properties as quickly as they would like to as the paperwork and legal aspects of the business can be very time consuming.
The concept of having a centre in Gloucester to deal with the management of all the properties for all offices up and down the UK means that entrepreneurs opening their own SureLet lettings franchise would have more time, support and the sales focus needed to build their business quickly and efficiently.
Kelly Chick, Manager of the SureLet Management Centre works closely with all offices on a daily basis. “Our priority is to make sure that SureLet franchisees and their clients receive our full support through the whole process. There is a lot of paperwork and communication involved when referencing tenants and dealing with tenanted properties, such as maintenance instructions and rent issues. We are here to lift this burden from the SureLet front offices so that they can focus on the job in hand – letting properties.”
The SureLet Gloucester Office was set up as a pilot operation to trial this separation and over the nine years this letting agency has gone from strength to strength.
“The test of a new franchise is often based on the success of the pilot office and we are delighted with the contribution SureLet Gloucester has made to the development of the whole network.”
Maija Brown, Manager of the SureLet Gloucester Office, joined SureLet Franchising in 2006 following a number of years working as a Lettings Negotiator for other large lettings competitors, working closely with all offices; existing and new. Whilst she still works with franchisees within a support and marketing capacity she also took over the management of the Gloucester Pilot Office in summer 2010.
“The SureLet business model makes it straightforward for individuals who do not have a background in residential property letting. The beauty of this franchise is that it is tailor made and modular so that franchisees can take over elements of the administrative side of the business as and when they are ready to employ the staff and systems involved.
Some franchisees have no intention of ever taking over the Property Management themselves and rely heavily on the SureLet Management Centre to run this side of their business, others have eventually taken this over in-house like the pilot office here in Gloucester. Our growth has been terrific, however, we are in no way complacent, I am a great believer in the team ethic and we are always striving for improvement. We are lucky to have dedicated staff who display initiative and aim to deliver a high quality customer service." Colin Poole explained that the Gloucester team always make themselves available to assist and support other franchisees across the country “The network benefits greatly from their knowledge and experience.”
